"The Life of/La Vida de Selena" is part of the bilingual Lil' Libros series.
Selena Quintanilla’s legacy continues to grow.
The late singer not only left us her music, but there are also many other things that keep her memory alive, such as her wax figure and her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Now, children can also learn all about the Tejano legend through a book called The Life of/La Vida de Selena by Patty Rodriguez and Ariana Stein, part of the bilingual Lil' Libros series. The book is now one of Amazon’s top five best sellers of the day (on the chart dated March 15).
Unable to find bilingual books she enjoyed reading to her baby, Rodriguez came up with the idea behind Lil' Libros, and Stein immediately realized that bilingualism played a very important role in the project, as well as the future of other children.
The book highlights Selena’s career as well as personal facts, like that her favorite food was pizza and that the most important people in the world to her were her familia and fans.
