We rely on USPS to deliver all orders placed through our website.  In recent months due to COVID-19 we have seen an increase in the delayed packages and want to be transparent with you on how we manage your packages.

We offer two shipping options at checkout: 

Media mail: is a cost-effective way to send books. USPS estimates that your item will arrive in 2 to 10 days. Although you won’t pay as much to send these items via Media Mail, they can take longer to get to their destination. 

Priority mail:  provides a fast and affordable way to deliver mail to every address in the U.S. In most instances, delivery is made within 1, 2 or 3 days. Priority Mail® provides the customer with an option of sending mail based on weight and dimension. 
When we receive your order and print out your shipping label, the process to pack and seal can take up to 2-3 days. Our local postman picks up all packages daily. Those packages are driven to the local post office where they get scanned. NO scanning happens inside our offices. Once scanned, you can easily get tracking information online. 

In recent months, because of COVID-19, we have seen a huge delay in the time that packages get delivered and delays in the scanning of packages.  For instance, a package shipped via media mail can take up to 2- 3 weeks to arrive once the postal service scans your order. And in some occasions, we have seen Priority mail being affected as well. 

This has caused an unforeseen hindrance on our operations.  We want to continue offering the option for you to get your books delivered through media mail because the savings are substantial.  Please note that there may be an additional delay when choosing Media mail. In the meantime, we will continue communicating with our local Post Office to ensure that they have our support and that we are being updated on your orders.

Orders

We know that now more than ever, you are expecting fast and affordable delivery. However, due to COVID-19, many carriers have temporarily changed their shipping services and policies. Shipping delays should be expected due to canceled flights, governmental decisions, and staff reductions. 

 

Please follow your order’s tracking number and link provided in your shipping confirmation. Allow 5-7 days from shipment date to see any tracking updates. 

 

If it has been over 2 weeks since the day you received shipment confirmation, please send us an email with full name you used when placing order, billing address, and order number. We will get back to you as soon as we can with information on your order. 

It is very rare that you get a notification of delivery without actually receiving your order. Please contact the carrier immediately and if you have not received it within 3-4 days from the date the carrier claims to have delivered your order, please email us with your name and order number. 

It is very rare that this happens. Please email us with your name and order number so we can look into this issue, or you can contact the carrier directly. 

If you want your order to be sent to another address other than the one you provided when placing your order, we can try and make that accommodation if you send us an email within 6 hours of placing order. 

If your order contains any of our upcoming new releases, but it includes books that are available on our website, that entire order will be shipped on date of the new release title. If you need your already-available books before the new release date, we suggest that you place two separate orders. If you change your mind after having already placed your order together, please send us an email at info@littlelibros.com

If you placed your order on Amazon, Target, or any other retailers that carry Lil’ Libros products, please contact them directly to help you. We only ship out orders that are placed on LilLibros.com

Returns

You have 30 days after having received your products to return. Please DO NOT return the product back without contacting us first and receiving the necessary return and exchange instructions. If you have a defective item and would like to return it without getting a replacement, please email us and include your order number and description of the defect.

Wrong order received: If we made a mistake/error in shipping out the wrong product, please notify us within 2 business days of receiving your order. We will then issue return instructions on how and where to return the product. 

Wrong order was placed: If you made an error and ordered the wrong products and wish to return the product, please send us an email at info@littlelibros.com with full name used when placing order, billing address, and order number. We will get back to you as soon as we can with information on your order. Please note that you will also be responsible for the shipping cost of returning the item.

Damaged shipment and/or products: If you received damaged shipment (opened box, water damage, smashed box, etc), or damaged products (artwork missing, warped book, etc), please notify us within 3 business days of receiving your order. Send us an email at info@littlelibros.com with full name used when placing order, billing address, order number, and images of the damaged products. 

At time of delivery, if the packaging appears damaged on the outside, please refuse to accept it from the carrier, and let us know immediately. 

Warehouse sale items cannot be returned or exchanged. Discounted items are FINAL SALE. Final sales items are non-returnable and non-refundable. (example: warehouse sale items, Black Friday sales, and any other discounted items.)

Discounts

Unfortunately, at this time, our operating system doesn’t support the combining of discount codes, including free shipping codes and teacher discount codes.

Yes we do! Please go to our website and click on TEACHER DISCOUNTS to register and receive your one-time-use discount code. You will be asked to provide one of the following: 

· Official ID Card or Badge

· Educator's License or State Certification

· Credential used to gain access to your campus (must have your name on it)

· Pay Stub from your employer

· Signed letter of employment

Submissions

Submissions

Lil’ Libros publishes children's book that celebrate multicultural voices and stories. We are currently looking for projects in fiction and nonfiction books for children ages 0-8 years old, as well as activity and educational kits. 

Guidelines

  • We prefer to receive children's book submissions and illustrations on paper. No compact discs, flashdrives, etc, will be reviewed. Absolutely no in person submissions. 
  • No materials submitted will be returned. Please do not send your only copy. Photocopies will do.
  • Include your complete contact information with your submission (email and phone number).
  • If you have a literary agent, please note that along with their contact information. 
  • If we are interested in your submission, you can expect to hear from us within 3 months after we receive your submission. We will not respond to an unsolicited submission unless interested in publishing it.
